This was my fifth epidural and even though I should be used to the process by now, I still get a little nervous. I was doing some deep breathing to calm myself while I was on the table and Dr Dua was so perceptive she spoke in a very calming voice and put her hand on my shoulder for a number of minutes just to let me know she was aware. You have no idea of the importance of that gesture and what it meant to me. I’m thrilled to have a compassionate doctor.
